Hi from Trooper

Hi, my name is Robert Trueman but everybody calls me Trooper. Some of you may have met me at Norjam 2006 when I was SCL of Mount Kilimanjaro. I am really looking forward to renewing acquaintances and meeting new friends.

Our subcamp is based on the theme of renewable energy and our name, NRG, is textspeak for the word ‘energy’, or could NRG mean something else? You decide! We added the smiley face as our symbol to give you a clue of how the week is going to be!

We have a team of Scout and Guide Leaders from around Norfolk and the core of the team were the Mount Kilimanjaro team of 2006. We enjoyed it so much we wanted to give it another go and really look forward to meeting old friends and making new ones wherever you may come from. We have been meeting since summer of 2008 to prepare for Norjam and hope that when you finally join us we will be able to give you a fantastic week and take home many happy memories of NRG:-)

Hi From Di!

Here we go again for another amazing Norjam. Every time we wonder if we can do it better and we usually do - from Shannocks in 2003, to the Coliseum in 2006 and now we are back as The Website for 2010 which is Girlguiding's Centenary Year and you can celebrate with us at Norjam.

I have proudly led a Guide Unit in Aylsham for 18 years with more than 40 girls each year - it has become a family affair with my Husband Phil and daughter Helen. Our extended family of girls who started in the unit are now taking on leadership roles all over the country and in some cases other parts of the world. Every second woman in the UK has been in the movement at some time - Wow!

Our team of young people have been to other Scout and Guide Jamborees and loved every minute. In particular Walesby Jamboree, where we met our Explorer Scouts and their Leaders from Lancashire. We loved sharing the Scout Centenary Celebrations with them so they have now teamed up with us to share Girlguiding Centenary at Norjam 2010

This team is planning loads of interaction every day, so come and expand your personal address book on The Website.
